SRS were employed to undertake the detailed surveying of the two adjoining properties to identify the defects and help advise on the appropriate remedial works.

These were found to be the careful removal of the existing windows that were built into the stonework, the replacement in Portland stone of the spalled and friable masonry detailing and repointing of both the stone and brickwork on the front and side elevations.

Two new ground floor fascia were installed in Portland stone to vary different styles. One being very much a copy of the highly detailed and carved original and the other a far more contemporary design.

Other tasks included the restoration of de-bonded render, high temperature steam cleaning of the elevations and party wall brickwork replacement.
