Braintree Council approached Stone Restoration Services to assist in giving the town’s historic monument a new lease of life.

The fountain was donated to the town in 1882 and was erected to commemorate the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria. Unfortunately it was in much need of restoration and repair.

Stone Restoration Services were appointed to remove the fountain and restore to its former glory. The seats were also replaced using grey Granite and decorative metal scrolls replaced.

Work Carried Out:

  • New Granite Seating Area
